Gland Cleansing 2

Colonic Irrigation: (usually 3x during the first week and then once a year for maintenance)
The
alimentary canal of the human body starts at the mouth and ends at the rectum. It is essentially a hollow tube 30 to 36 feet in length with a bag (stomach) in between. The stomach is located at the end of the esophagus. This canal is what processes the food we ingest. The food is moved along through the canal by ring-like and other muscles that surround the different organs. These muscles are guided by the peristaltic (caterpillar-like) action of the canal which churns the food along by contractions that occur approximately 22 times per minute (in a healthy body). Persons whose diet consists of dead, degenerative foods will eventually feel a sluggishness that may be caused by a slowing of the peristaltic wave. The colon can become impacted causing chronic constipation. The cecum (located at the end of the large intestine) is a breeding ground for bacteria, infection, and parasites … yes, parasites! Laxatives are NOT the answer. A proper diet coupled with colonic irrigation is the intelligent, permanent remedy. According to www.renewlife.com, nearly 75% of your immune system is located in your digestive tract, so when that balance is upset, your health may suffer as a result.

I had my first colonic irrigation in 1991 and believe it to be one of the most beneficial things I’ve ever done for myself. The procedure is relatively simple and takes about one hour to complete. You can search for a colonic hydrotherapist in your area using the Colon Therapists Global Network.

Drinking Oxy-Mag [instead of or in addition to a Colonic] (as needed)
If you’re squeamish about the colonic hydrotherapy, let me recommend two excellent products you can take orally,
Oxy Mag or Oxy-Powder. I’ve used Oxy-Mag countless times and highly recommend it. It’s one of the first things I’d put on my shelf.

Liver and Gall Bladder Flush (as determined by professional practitioner)
Amaluxherbal.com writes, “According to Traditional healing practices the Liver is the door to the body. It must be ‘opened’ in order for a natural remedy to enter and circulate freely throughout the entire organism to do its work.”

“That is why the very first step in healing can often only be achieved by first unclogging or detoxifying the liver.”

Andy Long of Foundations of Health provides a very-well decribed step-by-step procedure along with photos of the aftermath, however, the most comprehensive and compelling commentary I’ve seen on Liver and Gall Bladder cleansing is at www.amaluxherbal.com. The following information is from their website:

A liver cleanse should not be done indiscriminately. Depending on the circumstances it could hurt some more than it helps them. Some people are so badly clogged that the accumulated substance that is in the tissue of the liver deforms the cell structure or is holding the structure of the liver in it’s functioning shape. To remove the waste material too quickly could be devastating. This is rare but it does happen.

“Often, as countess people have already attested; by merely unclogging the liver and gallbladder and doing very little else, the body will, on its own, restore its own health. Although a colonic irrigation may be very useful, those who believe that to cleanse the colon is the ultimate cleanse will be surprised to learn that a good liver cleanse and an ongoing proper diet will ultimately clean the entire bowel and keep it clean and healthy more thoroughly than any kind of colonic irrigation. Although in the process of cleaning the body some enemas may be necessary and often the only relief from the discomforts caused by the great volumes of toxins that will be expelled due to the liver cleanse.

Furthermore, how can a colonic clean organs that are not reached through the colon? The kidneys for instance, which receive the overflow of waters from the liver and with it, often due to improper diet, receive solid wastes not suited to their function, which can cause pain or inflammation, or will accumulate producing mucus, gravel and stones. A colonic or purging of the bowel can not remove these accumulations.”

Kidney Cleanse (once or twice during the initial month and three times a year thereafter)
Asparagus contains asparamid, natures most effective kidney diuretic. The foul odor from the urine (found shortly after consuming asparagus) is ammonia which indicates excess uric acid in the system caused by (among other things) eating COOKED spinach and tomatoes. An excellent way to cleanse the kidneys is by consuming RAW asparagus juice or lightly steamed (or raw) asparagus. The diet can consist of nothing except asparagus and watermelon for 24 – 48 hours to complete a strong cleansing action of the kidneys. Raw beet juice and cucumbers are excellent for this purpose as well (Reid, 1989).

Massage (every three weeks or as needed)
Athletic massage allows for more intense training and conditioning and helps prevent restrictions from pain, spasms, and tension inhibiting  freedom of movement. Without freedom of movement, precision is adversely affected.

Beneficial effects of athletic massage:

  • Causes hyperemia making more oxygen and nutrients available necessary for growth and repair
  • Stimulates circulation and lymph drainage to help flush out metabolic waste caused by exercise (3 to 5 times more effective in combating fatigue than resting)
  • Stretches and broadens muscles, tendons, and ligaments
  • Reduces muscles spasms
  • Identifies possible trouble areas and helps eliminate them
  • Breaks down adhesion between the fascial sheaths
  • Separates fibrosis and breaks down adhesion's that result from inflammation and trauma
  • Helps realign collagen fibers formed as a result of injury to produce a strong, flexible scar

Reflexology (as needed)
According to go.articles.com business writer Ryo Valentino, acupressure and reflexology are no New Age "flash in the pan" trends. In fact, they've actually been around for thousands of years. The ancient people of Asia discovered that pressing specific points on the body can reduce or eliminate pain - often in locations elsewhere on the body. Chinese doctors began focusing on pressure points as a way to treat pain, fight illnesses, and encourage healing after injuries. These sessions, like many others developed by the Chinese of the period, were often used to treat soldiers who had been injured in various military conflicts. Stone probes, found in Chinese tombs and believed to date back thousands of years, are believed by experts to be the first tools used in acupuncture and acupressure. These stones were called Bian stones and were used as tools to apply pressure to acupoints.

Carolyn Cerciola adds, reflexology helps internally cleanse the body and gets one's natural energy flowing. The benefits of reflexology can normalize the glands and reduce physical as well as emotional tension.

It has been proven that reflexology can induce labor and reduce pain during childbirth.  Nurses are being trained in hospitals to learn specialized types of foot massage and are using it in delivery rooms throughout the world to ease patient uneasiness and reduce the length of labor. Applying pressure to the Inside Heel, Arch of the Foot, between Big and 2nd Toe, and Thumb point can help reduce pain while keeping contractions recurrent and successful.
